On October 4, 2008, the day dedicated to the celebration of St. Francis, after five days of travel, it is beautifully finished with Assisi on "The Way of Love", pilgrimage route on foot from 33 people and left the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni September 30. The pilgrimage was sponsored by the Diabetic Association of the Province of Terni NPO and was organized by the Society of St. Michael the Archangel Romei (Terni brotherhood dedicated to providing assistance to the pilgrims and pilgrimages) and the Association of Santiago 2004 (the structure that is placed too 'it, among other things, the objective of creating and enhancing experiences related to the Camino de Santiago). The Way of Love is born from the desire of the organizers to repeat and carry on our land the Spanish experience gained in 2007, when many people with diabetes have experienced the pilgrimage along the paths of the Camino de Santiago. The smile that accompanied the participants along the 110 km of the journey and the beauty of the Umbrian landscape crossed, suggests that, surely, this experience will not be an end in itself, but likely to be repeated over time. The pilgrims have created a cohesive group that has allowed everyone to enjoy in this short period of time for a refreshing peace.

The slogan that accompanied the "pilgrims" on the way "for the health of body, soul searching," says a lot about the spirit of initiative that is on the motivations that lead modern man to break from their daily lives and take a "path" that will take him to his spirituality to wonder about their lives and rediscover the meaning of his existence.

The pilgrimage in brief:

Terni 30/09/2009   starting from the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni on 30 September 2008 at around 9.15 after the Holy Mass which was given the solemn blessing of the pilgrims, which provides delivery and stick bag., officiated by Monsignor Anthony Manor .

The first stage of 30/09/2009 Basilica di San Valentino (Terni) to Chisels (PG)   (Distance approximately Km 30) This step has led us to Chisels through the streets until Papigno and then down until the Marmore Falls where we are on the trails along the river The Black (River Park) to come to lick Casteldilago we then go to Arrochar (visit the church of Santa Maria Assunta and stamped on the credential).
